General Dating Tips
Don't try to look past the first date.
Enjoy
yourself and see what happens. If you are
trying to set up the rest of your life in a
few hours, you will miss the here and now.
If the two of you are meant to be together, you
will be together. Enjoy this moment.
When you are setting the date up, don't make
plans for several events. If you plan dinner
and dancing and you don't hit it off, you
will have trouble getting out of the
dancing. Plan dinner and see what happens
after that.
Pick a restaurant where you will be able to
talk to each other without screaming over
loud music. You can't get to know someone if
you are only able to use hand gestures.
Always plan to meet your date
at the date location. Meet at the
restaurant. This way you will have a way out
without all the pressures and so will your
companion.
If you really had a great
time and you can sense your date had a great
time, make arrangements for your next date.
If you mention your next date and your
companion seems uninterested, move on. There
are plenty of people out there. You can't
make someone like you, if they don't.
Don't take rejection
personally. Not every one likes each other.
This isn't because you aren't worthy or good
enough. This is just the way life works.
Face the facts and find another date.
Remember, beauty is only skin
deep. You will want to be clean and neat for
your
date
but don't think you or your date have to be
fashion models to get along. Get to know the
person inside.
If you have the chance to
talk to the person on the phone before you
set the date up, do it. Do it more than
once if possible. You will be able to figure
out if you are compatible before you go
through the stress of a face to face
encounter.
Always be yourself. Don't try to be
someone you think he or she wants you to be.
If this turns into a long term
relationship,
you don't want to have to explain this
later. |
